Meter Services Field Technician

The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD), dedicated to providing reliable, affordable and sustainable water resources and services to its customers, is seeking an individual to join the Meter Services Department.

This position provides customer service in the field related to water metering:

• Performs timely and accurate readings of District water meters
• Responds to customer questions, inquiries and issues in the field
• Turns on/off water service as needed
• Provides metering troubleshooting
• Provides minor maintenance, repair and replacement of meters, dials and valves
• Prepares work orders for maintenance department for larger repairs
• Investigates and troubleshoots leak data on customer water consumption

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience.  Mechanical aptitude necessary.  Meter, valve and/or water distribution system experience helpful.  Valid, current CO Driver’s License is required.

Proficient computer skills including Excel and Outlook.  Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills required.  Self-starter, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary range Level I/II:  $20.86–$33.86/hr

The successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
